Coaching Adults for Balance

I work with adults, many of whom are working parents, who are yearning to live a life of balance wherein they do not need to sacrifice a vital part of themselves in order to have an accomplished life.

So many demands are placed on our time and attention that if we aren't conscious and deliberate with our choices we will find ourselves at the very bottom of our to-do lists. We tend to say yes to the most insistent voices, not necessarily the most important. Coaching is about tuning in to what's most important and designing a life that champions those things.

Through coaching we explore the following types of questions:

  • Which part(s) of your life do you want to dedicate more time to?
  • What do you need to let go of in order to make space for what you want more of?
  • Which choices are you avoiding making?
  • What is holding you back from living the life of your dreams?
Our lives are not the result of our circumstances, they are the result of how we navigate our circumstances.

These are big questions that can bring up a lot of emotion, doubt, and anxiety; having a coach helps you to find value in the challenges you face and to use them to foster growth and positive change.

Parents especially need support when striving for personal change, as it's easy to feel that our families always need something from us. And while families often do need something from us and children rarely hesitate to make their demands known, our families also need us to be whole, to be human, to be joyful, and above all to lead by example when it comes to advocating for our own dreams and needs.
